About Creole In The Park

LIME Creole in the Park, now in its 9th year, was created from the need for a daytime event during Dominica’s national independence celebrations.

The family oriented four day event is held at the historic Botanical Gardens in the the capital, Roseau, from 12:00 to 7:00 pm. and features performances from local, regional and international artists. Its success is strictly due to the complete management, implementation and dedication of the team at LIME Dominica.

The event blends traditional Jing Ping music with steelpan, drums, bouyon and the delectable aromas of local cuisine. Food vendors offer freshly prepared Creole dishes with a spectacular, dizzying array of choices. Family activities, art and craft, and Dominica’s rich culture compliment the event’s Creole music amidst the natural ambiance of “The Gardens” as the location is popularly known.

LIME also embraces this opportunity to recognize two deserving individuals who have contributed significantly to Dominica’s Creole culture. with the LIME Creole Lifetime Award. To assist with the development of the Botanical Gardens, a small contribution is received at the gate and the proceeds are donated to the Forestry, Wildlife & Parks Division.

Come to Creole in the Park and enjoy Dominica’s finest annual event from October 24.  You can be sure that this year’s LIME Creole in the Park will be an event to be remembered!
